Your home. Your choices. The right support alongside you.

AJS Community Support helps adults across North London live in their own home with as much independence as possible. Whether you are moving into your first place, leaving hospital or a residential setting, or simply want more say over your day-to-day life, our team provides flexible, person-centred support built entirely around you — not a fixed routine.

What supported living means

Supported living is your own home with support built in. You hold your own tenancy, keep control of your money and your choices, and decide how your day looks — while a trained support team is there for the tasks and moments where you want a hand.
It is not a care home. You are the tenant, and support is tailored to you and reviewed as your needs and goals change. Some people need a few hours a week; others need a fuller package including waking or sleep-in night support. We shape the level around you, and adjust it over time.

Who we support

We provide supported living for adults with a range of needs, including:

  • Learning disabilities & autism — living skills, community access and building confidence toward greater independence.
  • Mental health needs — recovery-focused support that helps you stay well, manage day-to-day life and rebuild routines at your own pace.
  • Physical disabilities & complex needs — practical, respectful help with personal care, mobility and the tasks of everyday living.

New to supported living, or moving on from hospital or a residential placement? We can support that transition step by step.

How we support you

Support is agreed with you and set out in your own plan. Depending on your goals, that can include:

Daily living & your home

  • Cooking, meal planning and healthy eating
  • Keeping your home clean, safe and how you like it
  • Shopping, laundry and household routines
  • Managing bills, budgeting and correspondence

Health & wellbeing

  • Personal care and support with mobility, delivered with dignity
  • Medication prompts and support
  • Attending GP, hospital and other appointments
  • Support to stay active and look after your mental wellbeing

Independence & community

  • Building confidence, life skills and daily routines
  • Getting out and about, using transport and staying connected
  • Access to work, education, volunteering and hobbies
  • Staying in touch with family, friends and the things you enjoy

Our approach

Person-centred, always.

Your plan starts with what matters to you — your goals, your routines, your preferences — and is reviewed regularly so support keeps pace with your life.

Consistent, trusted teams.

We match you with support workers who fit your needs, and every member of our team is carefully recruited, DBS-checked and fully trained before they join you.

Independence first.

We support you to do things for yourself wherever we can, stepping in for the parts you need — so your confidence and independence grow over time.

Working together.

We work closely with families, social workers, healthcare teams and local authorities to make sure your support joins up and nothing falls through the gaps.
